Unfortunately, we didn't get to stay very long in Pisa, but we did get to visit the Piazza dei Miracoli. We made a mini trek through a town to get to the field. On this mini trek through town, we almost got hit by a number of cars- apparently road rules in Europe don't permit entitled pedestrian tourists the right of way. Noted. This became an important piece of information for the rest of our time in Italy.
Despite the numerously near death-by-tiny-car incidents, it didn't stop Italy from being one of my favorite countries visited. Pisa was just the beginning of medieval baptistries, domed buildings and marble wonders.
