Every year, my good friend from college, Mariah, comes up to SM to visit. This year, we spent an afternoon hanging out on our humongous sidewalk- the perfect place to do chalk art!
There is something so liberating about doing an activity so frivolous and unassuming. Of course (as we live on one of the busiest streets in town) we get a lot of quizzical looks from passing cars- they'd be thinking, "don't these people in their mid-twenties have anything better to do with their time?" The answer would be "heck no." With stalwart resolve and conviction, we will reclaim the carefree air of our youth- viva bien!
Why don't you do something this week that you haven't done since childhood? I promise you, the pace of the day will move surprisingly slower- at least, slow enough to breathe just a little bit.
