Istanbul, Turkey

This city is the place where Europe and Asia met and decided to make a beautiful baby named Istanbul.  I mean, talk about sensory overload: every crevice of this city was filled with herbal scents, spicy tastes, busy chatter, vibrant colors and ornate patterns to delight.  The sunset even seemed to glow more intensely in tandem with this dynamic city.  By the end of this trip, I was curious as to why the back of my neck was in so much pain and I realized that it was because I unknowingly had my head cranked back for long periods of time as I took in the incredible spires and ceilings of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar.  They really are as incredible as you imagine them to be.
