What a full and wonderful day. Where to even begin...
Cooking gives me joy- and I think a pattern is starting to form...
Community dinners- as much as I revel in my solitude, I just love having a large group of friends over for dinner. This is a picture of the Egyptian global urban project team joining us for the deliciousness.
Morning walks
Here's a picture of some of my students! I asked them what they all wanted to be when they grew up and it was so overwhelming getting to listen to their dreams because it was a beautiful and challenging opportunity to make them believe in that moment, that it was possible. And at this point in their lives, it really is possible- it's our job as teachers to enable them.
Living on a budget- because even though we're living off of pennies a day, God still provides. We constantly have people bring us produce and offer us meals. There is such an abundance out there and it's been such an adventure giving God the chance to fill in the places where we have lack.
Israel
and the New Breed- one of my favorite artists of all time. Got to see
him for free (yes), at a hall only about 4 miles away from our house!
I'm still on a cloud...
