Thanks to everyone who has been praying for our trip to Catalina Island for our annual Fall Conference retreat. Some highlights of the conference:
- Although we were definitely the underdogs (200+ folks from UCLA and 10 of us from CSULA!), we definitely bonded and felt a lot closer, like a little family
- Because we felt safe with each other, a lot of us felt free to share personal things
- As we encountered God drawing nearer to us, we experienced a lot of healing through prayer from many of our past hurts and traumas.
- We resolved to be a presence on campus that was purposefully vulnerable and relational in contrast to the hard and guarded LA culture so that we could be examples of people changed by Jesus' love
