I think that blogs are self-indulgent.However, I can recognize them for the cathartic outlets that they are. In essence, they serve the same purpose as a journal (although I remember when diaries and the like were meant to be private). I figured that I might start one- a blog, that is- since I type faster than I write and it saves me the time of washing off the ink that rubs onto the side of my writing hand.
